Supporting Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra
The most obvious way you can support Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra is to come to our
concerts. And this Year (2008 -
Season Tickets
Our season Tickets apply just to the next two concerts (Nov and Jan) -
You can buy a Season Ticket for these two concerts for £18 (full price) or £12 (concession).
The alternative is to pay the full price -
Please consider buying a Season (or two). It will minimize the ticketing work, maximize our advance revenue, represents a substantial reduction from the ‘on the door’ price and, of course, all tickets are transferable. If you have a friend in the orchestra, talk to them, or call Michael Archer on 020 8947 2413 to book your tickets or find out more.
Here are some other examples of how you can help the orchestra as well.:
Why not become a Friend of the Orchestra? The Friends of the Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra deserve the orchestra's warmest thanks for having affirmed their support for our activities in numerous ways; in return they are regarded as privileged patrons.
Go on our mailing list ... You will receive full details of the season’s programme annually and in advance of each concert.
For both of the above, please contact:
Gordon Thorburn, Secretary, Friends of the Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra
6 Alan Road, London SW19 7PT, Tel: 020 8946 1750 (office) or 8313 (home)
... or you can obtain details of the Friends' organisation at any of our concerts.
Gift Aid The Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra is registered charity No. 259860 and this means that if you sign a Gift Aid declaration, we can then claim an extra 28% from the government on top of any donation you make to us.
Corporate Sponsorship. You can advertise in one of our programmes, or perhaps sponsor a concert, a soloist, or the performance of a work (eg through paying for music hire). If you would like to explore one of these ideas, please contact one of the orchestra’s Secretaries (see Links page for details).
Help to promote our concerts We are always looking for new ideas and ways to promote our concerts, taking leaflets round Wimbledon and developing contacts with the local press. If you are willing to help with this, please contact William Watson Tel: 020 8546 1056 (office)
